Chelsea completes contract extension with England international attacking midfielder Cole Palmer..


Chelsea announced on their official website on Saturday that the club has extended the contract of its England international attacking midfielder Cole Palmer.


According to Chelsea's official statement, Palmer has signed on a new long-term eight-year deal with the club which runs until the summer of 2034.


After completing his contract extension procedures, Palmer, who was interviewed by the Chelsea official website again, Palmer said: "Chelsea means a lot to me, and I believe the club is moving in the right direction. I’m really happy to sign this contract and feel great about it."


"Conversations with the owners, the sporting directors, and the head coach gave me a lot of confidence, so signing was the natural next step."


"I’ve also spoken with other players, and we all share the same ambitions. I believe we can keep winning major trophies here, and I want to be a part of that and play a key role."


About Cole Palmer


The 24-year-old Palmer was born on May 6, 2002, in Manchester, England. He is 1.89 meters tall and primarily plays as an attacking midfielder but can also play as a right winger or center-forward. He is of Saint Kitts and Nevis descent.


Palmer joined Manchester City's youth academy at the age of eight and completed his first-team debut in a Carabao Cup match in September 2020.


During his three-year spell with the Cityzens, Palmer won the Premier League, the FA Cup, the UEFA Champions League, and the UEFA Super Cup once each.


On the 2023 summer transfer window deadline day, Palmer joined Chelsea for a fee of £42.5 million. 


Since joining the Blues, Palmer has made 139 appearances for the Premier League giants across all competitions, scoring 58 goals, providing 35 assists and has won the UEFA Europa Conference League and the FIFA Club World Cup once each, as well as reaching the finals of both the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup.
