Dust2 exclusively reported on Thursday that DAVI666, a 7-year-old Ukrainian Counter Strike 2 (CS2) prodigy, signed with INNER CIRCLE, has been banned for six years by FACE IT for violating the minimum age requirement to be registered as professional esports players.
According to the report, Valve has long stipulated that, to prevent children under this age from becoming too exposed to and addicted to esports, the minimum age for registering as a professional player, under the framework of international court child labor laws, is 13 years old. INNER CIRCLE's actions clearly violated this rule.
To demonstrate how seriousness they treat this matter, Valve has agreed to have FACE IT, a database of professional CS esports players, suspend DAVI666's account and impose a six-year ban. FACE IT hopes this will allow the young player to focus on his studies and not neglect his education, only considering a professional esports career later when the age limit is lifted.
While INNCER CIRCLE's initial intention may not have been to genuinely involve DAVI666 in training and competitions with the main team, but rather to prepare him for future integration into their youth academy, it's undeniable that exposing DAVI666 to the professional esports scene at such a young age carries a significant risk of violating child labor laws and children's online privacy laws for the club and his family.
Given this, it's understandable that DAVI666, despite reaching FACE IT Level 6 competitive skill, was banned.
It's reported that DAVI666 first encountered Counter Strike 2 (CS2) at the age of 4 under the ID kiberkatlleta, and was entered into the FACE IT database in March 2026.
According to his user profile in the FACE IT database, DAVI666 participated in 135 matches over the past three months, with a K/D ratio of 1.06, a win rate of 50%, and a personal rating of 1.1.
It's worth mentioning that DAVI666 isn't actually the first prodigy to be banned for violating the minimum age requirement for professional players.
In February 2025, Am1r_Han, a 9-year-old prodigy from the UAE of the SPIRIT Academy team, was also banned by FACE IT until 2029 for violating the same rule by signing with the team.
