The English Football Association confirmed on its official website on Thursday that right wing-back Tino Livramento has been forced to withdraw from the national team's World Cup squad due to a calf injury.

According to the English Football Association's official statement, Livramore suffered a calf muscle strain during a recent closed-door training session. Although the injury is not considered serious, the team doctor decided to take a conservative approach and have the player immediately withdraw from the national team squad to return to England for recovery.

Meanwhile, Chelsea's Sierra Leonean-born versatile defender Trevoh Chalobah has been urgently called up to the national team squad as his replacement.

Livramento joined Chelsea's youth academy at the age of nine. After contract negotiations broke down, he moved to Southampton in the summer of 2021, making his Southampton first-team debut in August 2021.
