Bournemouth have extended the contract of Fraser Foster to one year.

Bournemouth Football Club has officially announced that goalkeeper Fraser Foster has signed a new one-year contract extension with the club. The 38-year-old goalkeeper joined Bournemouth on a short-term contract in January and has now earned the club's trust with his consistent performances, and will continue to play at the Vitality Stadium until the end of the 2026/27 season.  

As a seasoned veteran with extensive match experience, Fraser Foster won the Scottish Premiership four times during his career and also lifted the Europa League trophy with the team. After joining Bournemouth, he became an important leader of the team with his mature and steady professionalism and rich experience in major competitions, while also injecting a positive influence into the dressing room.  

Despite Fraser Forster only making four Premier League squads last season, he consistently provided crucial support to the goalkeeping team in daily training. In the second half of the season, Bournemouth kept six clean sheets in 19 Premier League matches, conceding only 19 goals, and ultimately finished the season in sixth place.  

Bournemouth's head of football operations, Thiago Pinto, said: "We are delighted that Fraser Foster will remain with the team for the new season. Last season, his extensive experience and professional expertise provided invaluable assistance to the goalkeeping team and brought significant value to the club."  

“We hope the goalkeeping team can continue to improve in the new season, and Fraser Foster will undoubtedly play an important role in it. He is not only an indispensable member of the dressing room, but will also use his experience to continue to drive the team’s progress in the 2026/27 season.”  

Speaking about the contract extension, Fraser Foster said: "I am very happy to be able to stay at Bournemouth for another year. I have enjoyed the past six months here and I look forward to continuing to work with the team in the future and striving for more achievements."
