Mark Williams signed a 3-year, $38 million contract extension with the Phoenix Suns.

June 26th - According to ESPN , restricted free agent Mark Williams plans to sign a three- year, fully guaranteed contract with the Phoenix Suns.

Mark Williams , 24 , stands at 7 feet 1 inch (approximately 2.16 meters) and is a promising young center. Last season, he had his healthiest season in his four years in the NBA , playing 60 games, far exceeding his previous single-season high of 44 games.

Last season, Williams started at center for the Suns, averaging 23.6 minutes per game, contributing 11 points, 8 rebounds and 1 block, playing an important role on both ends of the court.

Williams joined the Phoenix Suns from the Charlotte Hornets via trade on draft night in 2025. Upon arriving in Phoenix, Williams quickly became a starter and helped the Suns exceed preseason expectations, successfully making the playoffs.

Throughout his career, Williams has averaged 12 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 1 block per game. He entered this offseason as a restricted free agent after failing to reach a contract extension agreement with the Suns last summer.
