Fabrizio Romano: "Claims of Paris Saint-Germain began Yan Diomandé transfer talks" totally untrue and wildly exaggerated..

Sky Sports' renowned Italian transfer journalist  Fabrizio Romano, has exclusively refuted a claim made by someone on this website, by saying that the rumour which claimed that "Paris Saint-Germain had begun transfer negotiations for Yan Diomandé's transfer" was completely unfounded and had already been wildly exaggerated through his official paid column on Monday morning (Asian time).

In his column, Romano said that Paris Saint-Germain has never formally engaged in any form of "negotiation" with Diomande's club, RB Leipzig, nor with Diomandé's agents.

He indicated that he had verified with his colleague in the industry, The Athlteic's transfer journalist David Ornstein, who knew more about the ins and out of this matter and the latter has confirmed that the matter was not as described by the person who have written the aforementioned on this website.

Diomandé only responded to reporters through his agent, saying that if he were to transfer, he would prioritize joining Paris Saint-Germain because it is the club supported by his father, and that he himself aspires to live in Paris and believes that Les Parisiens could fulfill his hopes of winning titles and being nominated for the Ballon d'Or.

However, Diomandé and his agent have never reached an agreement with any club. Currently, it seems likely that there will not be an issue for the player to reach an agreement with the reigning Ligue 1 and Champions League champions on personal terms and a long-tem five-year deal which runs until 2031.

Leipzig has never accepted any offers. The Bundesliga powerhouse's condition has remained unchanged: they will not sell Diomandé for less than €120-130 million.

It is true that Paris Saint-Germain will hold talks with Leipzig later, but negotiations between the two clubs have not even begun.

Furthermore, Romano strongly refuted the claim by this website's rumour-monger that "Liverpool refused to increase their offer beyond £86 million."

He harshly criticized that, "I've always respected individual journalists' reporting methods, but the premise is that they shouldn't mislead readers and fans with completely inaccurate information. Moreover, I haven't seen any French media journalists say that Liverpool refused to increase their offer."

"Those who regularly follow the latest news about Yan Diomandé will know from my regular updates that Liverpool sees Diomandé as their primary transfer target in the winger position this summer."

"I just said that two days ago (June 27th - Saturday),  after their initial £86 million offer was rejected, The Reds submitted a second offer of €90 million plus €10 million in add-ons, but that too was rejected."

"The Premier League giants were just planning to submit a higher offer to Paris Saint-Germain soon, so the claim that they refuse to increase their offer  beyond £86 million is completely not true."

"However, with Diomandé so publicly stating his desire to join Paris Saint-Germain, it remains to be seen whether Liverpool will decide to completely abandon their plans to sign the Ivorian starlet."
