Day 2 of the Dota 2 eSports World Cup: Two top teams remain undefeated, and several groups are locked in a fierce battle for the top spot.

The second day of group stage competition for the Dota 2 tournament at the 2026 EWC concluded. European powerhouses PARIVISION and 1w Team continued their hot streak, becoming the only two teams to maintain a perfect start. Meanwhile, Groups A and B are in dire straits, both mired in a tight battle with three teams tied for first place.

In Group C, PARIVISION decisively defeated VG 2-0, leading the group with a perfect 4-0 record. As the top favorite to directly advance to the playoffs, they will face REKONIX, Spirit, and MOUZ in their next matches.

The top spot in Group D is firmly held by 1w Team. Following their opening victory, they swept VP 2-0 on the second day, maintaining their undefeated record of 4-0. Although tournament favorites Yandex and veteran powerhouse LGD are both close behind with 3-1 records, 1w Team's perfect points total gives them a significant advantage in the highly competitive Group D.

In contrast, the battle for the top spot in Groups A and B is much more unpredictable. Group A powerhouses BetBoom Team, Team Falcons, and Xtreme Gaming all swept their opponents 2-0 on the second day. With all three teams tied at 3-1, and BetBoom and Falcons already tied, their upcoming showdown with Xtreme over the next two days will directly determine the sole direct promotion spot.

In Group B, Aurora and Nigma Galaxy battled fiercely for two games in their head-to-head match on the second day, each taking one point (1-1); while Team Liquid, who suffered a surprising draw on the first day, adjusted their form in time and won 2-0 against Level UP. Thus, Group B now sees Aurora, Nigma, and Liquid all tied for first place with 3-1 points.

As the group stage enters its second half, the top teams not only need to defeat weaker opponents, but also fight tooth and nail in the upcoming direct matches in order to secure the highly coveted direct qualification spots for the knockout stage.
