Getafe announced on their official website on Wednesday that Villarreal's Ivory Coast U23s international defender Jean Ives Valou has joined the club on-loan.
According to Getafe's official statement, Valou will play for the club on loan until the end of the new season, and the loan agreement does not include a buy-out clause.
About Jean Ives Valou
Valou, who is only still 19-years old, was born on December 22, 2006, in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. He is 1.88 meters tall and primarily plays as a center-back, but can also play as a left-back. He holds dual Ivorian and Benin citizenship.
Valoux joined the youth academy of Malian club Mande from a young age. After graduating, he joined Villarreal's youth academy in January 2023, and began playing for their B team the following year.
Since joining El Submarino Amarillo, Valou has made 42 appearances for the La Liga powerhouse's B team in all competitions, scoring 3 goals.
