Manchester United's targets have been thwarted one after another, and their midfield signings this summer have once again become a quagmire.

Manchester United's transfer dealings this summer have been fraught with difficulties. According to the latest news, their £35 million bid for Brazilian midfielder Ederson from Atalanta in Serie A is now at risk of falling through due to medical issues.

As early as June 2nd, the two clubs had reached a transfer fee agreement, and the original plan was for the 27-year-old Ederson to complete his medical examination in early July. However, the player was subsequently called up to Ancelotti's World Cup national team, and the medical examination had to be postponed.

After Brazil's elimination by Norway, the transfer market not only failed to accelerate but stalled. Insiders revealed that Ederson's medical examination showed physical problems, and there were even reports that the deal had fallen through. Although both clubs officially insisted that no final decision had been made, fans were undoubtedly in anxious anticipation.
