Guido Rodriguez: I am delighted to wear the Valencia jersey again; the club has placed tremendous trust and recognition in me.

After a loan spell last season, Guido Rodriguez has officially joined Valencia on a permanent transfer. The Argentine midfielder recently gave an exclusive interview to the club, discussing his joy at returning to Mestalla and sharing his views on family, life, and future development.  

Guido Rodriguez said: "It's a great pleasure for me to be back here and train with my teammates. I'm happy to wear the Valencia jersey again. The biggest change since coming here from Argentina has been the weather. It's the cold season there, and I've always looked forward to returning to a sunny and warm place. Now that I'm back in Valencia, I'm really enjoying life here. The team trains every morning, and then continues with a second phase of training in the afternoon when the temperature drops a bit."  

“I’ve always wanted to extend the wonderful experience I had during my loan spell, so I’ve always hoped to stay here. The club has always given me a lot of trust and recognition, which means a lot to me. I feel very happy to be able to stay in a team that recognizes me and that I want to continue playing for, while enjoying everything here.”  

"I hope this season can be a successful start, with the players, the club, and the fans always standing together. I think that's the most important thing. At the same time, this is also the last season that Mestalla will be our home stadium, so everyone should unite closely, cherish every game, and give this stadium, which holds countless memories, a perfect ending."  

"When we finished our trip in England and the plane landed in Valencia, my wife and I both felt like we were coming home. For our family, Spain is more than just a place we've lived in; it's like a second home. We really enjoyed life in Valencia. My wife loves it here, and our two-year-old daughter, who previously attended school here, has a deep affection for the city. So, at the beginning of this year, our family spent many wonderful days here."  

"Football is always our top priority, our profession and our responsibility, because we carry the expectations of all Valencia fans. However, outside of training and matches, we also take time to experience life in this city and enjoy time with our families. For me, family will always be in a very important position, and they are very happy here, which is one of the important factors that ultimately led me to decide to stay in Valencia."  

"No matter what we face, I always want to take responsibility for myself first. I firmly believe that only by doing our best can we be qualified to lead those around us. If we can't even meet the requirements for ourselves, we can't expect others to do so. When we encounter difficulties, I am willing to be the first to step forward and take responsibility, and the whole team had the same attitude at the time. We faced the challenges together, turned the situation around, and successfully completed that season. Everyone constantly demands that they do better, which is also an important reason for the team's continued progress."  

Speaking about the soon-to-be-opened new Mestalla stadium, Guido Rodrigo frankly admitted that he felt both reluctant and conflicted about leaving Mestalla. He said, "Mestalla has always been one of the most iconic stadiums in Spain. When I was a child, I watched many Argentine players wearing Valencia jerseys playing here, and that left a deep impression on me."  

"While saying goodbye to Mestalla is bittersweet, the club must continue to move forward to new stages if it wants to continue to develop. The construction of the new Mestalla embodies this progress. From everything we've seen so far, the stadium looks very promising, and I can't wait to play there. At the same time, we should cherish this last season at Mestalla as our home ground, create more wonderful memories together, and usher in a new chapter for the club."
