Before the 76ers adjusted their roster, Arizona wing Darren Terry was waived.

July 28th news, The Philadelphia 76ers have waived former University of Arizona wing player Darren Terry .

 

The 24- year -old Terry has played for three different teams this season. He was traded from the Chicago Bulls to the New Orleans Pelicans in February , and was subsequently waived by the Pelicans. On February 10 , the 76ers signed him to a two-way contract, which was converted to a standard contract on April 10 .

 

Terry played 21 games for the 76ers this season , averaging 11.7 minutes, 4.1 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game in the regular season . In the playoffs, he played 7 games, scoring a total of 13 points.

 

Terry was initially selected by the Chicago Bulls with the 18th overall pick in the first round of the 2022 NBA Draft and played for the Bulls for more than three seasons, during which he was a starter seven times .

 

Before entering the NBA , Terry played two seasons at the University of Arizona. His freshman season was the last year under Sean Miller 's coaching, during which he started 14 games; then, in Tommy Lloyd 's first season under the coach, he became a core member of the team, starting all 37 games.
