Peruvian team PlayTime wins the Dota 2 title at the 2026 Astana Future Games.

The Games of the Future 2026 are currently underway in Astana, Kazakhstan.


In the highly anticipated Dota 2 tournament finals, the Peruvian team PlayTime demonstrated their formidable strength, defeating the Chinese team Yakult Brothers 3-0 to win the championship.


The total prize pool for the Dota 2 event at this year's Future Games reached $1 million. In the best-of-five finals, Team PlayTime maintained a lead throughout, securing the championship and taking home $350,000, while the runner-up, Team Yakult Brothers, received $160,000.


In addition, the Chinese team Team Resilience defeated the Kazakhstani team Rune Eaters 2-0 in the third-place match, winning third place and a prize of $120,000. The fourth-place Rune Eaters team won $70,000. The Rune Eaters team performed brilliantly in this tournament, having eliminated the Chinese team LGD.Pinghu in the quarterfinals to advance to the semifinals.


Astana, the first Central Asian city to host the Future Games, will host the event from July 29 to August 9. The Games boast a total prize pool of US$4.65 million and cover eight digital-real-world and esports events, attracting over 800 athletes from more than 50 countries and regions.


Previously, the Chinese team 17 Gaming had won the PUBG tournament, becoming the first champion team in this competition.
