Roma's Albania international center-back Marash Kumbulla officially joins Rayo Vallecano on-loan..

Rayo Vallecano announced on their official website on Sunday that Roma's Albania international center-back Marash Kumbulla has joined the club on-loan.

According to the La Liga club's official statement, Kumbulla will play for the club on-loan until the end of the new season, the loan agreement includes a non-mandatory buy-out clause.

About Marash Kumbulla

The 26-year-old Marash Kumbulla was born on February 8, 2000, in Pescheria del Garda. He is 1.91 meters tall, plays as a center-back and holds dual Italian and Albanian citizenship.

Kumbulla joined Hellas Verona's youth academy at the age of eight and completed his first-team debut in a Coppa Italia match in August 2018.

In September 2020, Kumbulla joined Roma on-loan. I Giallorossi later triggered Kumbulla's buy-out clause the following summer for €26.5 million.

However, since his purchase, Kumbulla has been inexplicably frozen out. Over the past two years, he has been loaned-out to Sassuolo, Espanyol, and Mallorca successively.

Since joining I Giallorossi, Kumbulla has so far made 68 appearances for the Serie A powerhouse in all competitions, scoring 4 goals, winning the UEFA Conference League once, and reaching the Europa League final once.
