Sassuolo announced on their official website on Thursday that Bologna's young Argentine forward Benjamín Domínguez has joined the club on-loan.

According to Sassuolo's official statement, Domínguez will play for the club on loan until the end of the new season, with a non-mandatory buy-out clause included in the loan agreement.

About Benjamín Domínguez

The 22-year-old Domínguez was born on September 19, 2003, in La Plata, Argentina. He is 1.72 meters tall and primarily plays as a left winger, but can also play as a right winger or attacking midfielder.

Domínguez joined the Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata youth academy at a young age and completed his first-team debut by coming on as a substitute in November 2021.

During his three-year spell there, Domínguez is best known for his outstanding individual performancea after coming on as a substitute in a crucial match that ultimately decided the league title.

In the summer of 2024, Dominguez joined Bologna for €4.5 million.

Since becoming a member of I Veltri, Dominguez has so far made 48 appearances for the Serie A club in all competitions, scoring 4 goals and providing 6 assists, where he helped the team achieve a surprising Coppa Italia trophy win and reach the Europa League quarterfinals once.
