Saleh receives long-term contract extension and promoted from general manager to president of basketball operations for the Hawks.

May 28 - The Atlanta Hawks officially announced that they have reached a long-term contract extension agreement with executive Ansi Saleh. Saleh will be promoted from general manager to president of basketball operations, taking full responsibility for the team's basketball affairs.

In a statement, Hawks owner Tony Resler said that Saleh possesses outstanding leadership skills, a clear team-building vision, and excellent player evaluation abilities. He is a highly respected management figure in the league, and his decision-making has significantly changed the team's trajectory.

 

It is reported that Saleh ranked second in the annual executive of the year poll, second only to Celtics president of basketball operations Brad Stevens .


In his statement, Saleh expressed his gratitude to the Resler family for their long-term trust and support, and emphasized that he will continue to work to make the Hawks a top team in the league.

 

Under his leadership, the Hawks rebuilt their core roster around rising star Jaylen Johnson and acquired players such as Nickeil Alexander - Walker , Dyson Daniels , and Onyeka Okonjo - Wuh.
