Robbie Fowler believes Iraola's style is closer to Klopp's.

With Sloot no longer managing Liverpool, the question of who will take over the "Reds" has sparked much media and fan attention. Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler stated that former Bournemouth manager Iraola would be a source of excitement for Liverpool, believing Iraola's style would be closer to Klopp's.

With Klopp leaving Liverpool after many years of management, Dutchman Slaughter officially became Liverpool's manager in June 2024 and led Liverpool to win the Premier League title in the 2024/25 season.

However, in the recent 2025/26 Premier League season, Liverpool, a team highly anticipated by fans, failed to find a more consistent performance, and Sloot's coaching style was constantly criticized. Although Liverpool ultimately finished fifth and secured a Champions League spot, the club still sacked Sloot.

After Sloan's dismissal, Andoni Iraola, who had previously stepped down as manager of Bournemouth, was considered a leading candidate to become Liverpool's new manager.

Robbie Fowler points out, "If Andoni Iraola really comes to Liverpool, I think the fans will be very excited because he has made Bournemouth play very attractive football.
