Deportivo A Coruña officially announce the signing of Mallorca's Spain international goalkeeper Leo Román..


Deportivo A Coruña announced on their official website on Saturday that they have signed Spain international goalkeeper Leo Román from Mallorca.


According to the newly promoted La Liga club's official statement, Román has signed on a long-term five-year deal with the club which runs until the summer of 2031.


About Leo Román


The 25-year-old Leo Román was born on July 6, 2000, in Ibiza, Spain. He is 1.89 meters tall and plays as a goalkeeper.


Román played for the youth academies of several smaller clubs in Ibiza during his childhood. He joined Mallorca in 2020 and began playing for their B team that same year.


In December 2021, Román completed his Mallorca first-team debut in a Copa del Rey match.


In the summer of 2023, Román was loaned-out to Real Oviedo.


During his loan spell, Román's impressive performances helped the club reach the Segunda División promotion play-off final.


Upon returning to the club the following summer after his loan spell ended, Román officially became Mallorca's first-team regular starter.


During his five years at Mallorca, Roman made 48 appearances for the Spanish Segunda División club in all competitions, conceding 70 goals and keeping 9 clean sheets.
