Robinson reveals the cause of his hand injury before the Finals: a family crisis triggered an emotional breakdown.

July 6th - According to the Associated Press, Mitchell Robinson , the center who joined the Boston Celtics this summer , recently explained for the first time on social media the reason for his hand injury before the NBA Finals. He also admitted that he had been under tremendous psychological pressure throughout the season.

Mitchell Robinson stated that the reason he injured his hand before the NBA Finals was not during the game, but because he lost control of his emotions after learning of his brother's serious car accident and punched a truck.

Upon returning to New York, I received an unexpected phone call from my family informing me that my brother had been in a car accident, Robinson wrote. As the eldest son, I was deeply worried and panicked. When I saw my brother on FaceTime , I thought he was dead. He was wearing a neck brace, unresponsive, and unable to speak. I was devastated, feeling like I had failed to protect my family. In a state of utter helplessness and anger, I punched my truck.

Previously, Knicks head coach Mike Brown stated that Robinson's injury did not occur on the court. Initially, it was believed he suffered a hand fracture, but Robinson has now clarified that the actual injury is a finger joint injury.

In addition to discussing the cause of his injury, Robinson also revealed that he had been struggling with psychological pressure throughout the season and had sought professional help.

Life will always present unexpected challenges; what truly matters is how you face them, Robinson wrote. To fully dedicate myself to the season, I even sacrificed time with my daughter, hoping to provide her with a better life in the future.
