Dust2 exclusively reported on Friday that Danish Counter Strike 2 (CS2) organization Astralis is expected to sign former FUT player cmtry.
Following recent reports that the team surprisingly plans to replace In-Game Leader (IGL) HooXi and rifler jabbi, Astralis immediately began the search for their successors and has now set its sights on cmtry.
Current indications suggest that cmtry will join Astralis on-loan. Following the move, he will switch to a rifler role.
Given that he has played as an AWP-er since joining the NAVI Academy in 2023, this positional shift represents a significant challenge for cmtry.
The 19-year-old Ukrainian player previously competed for Taipan. During his time with the NAVI Academy, he helped the team win the HellCup #11 in 2024.
cmtry joined FUT in August 2025.
During his one-year stint with FUT, he won the PGL Bucharest Major and earned the MVP, though his performance subsequently declined.
Last week, cmtry was moved to the bench by FUT, with former G2 AWP-er SunPayus taking his place.
Meanwhile, news had recently emerged regarding Astralis's suprisingly plans to replace HooXi and jabbi.
Reports at the time indicated that with both players' contracts expiring at the end of the year and renewal negotiations stalled, the Danish Counter Strike 2 (CS2) organization was leaning towards parting ways with them.
Astralis reportedly intends to sign siuhy, who recently ended his tenure with Liquid, to replace HooXi.
