Legacy has announced that arT has recovered from his illness and will return to the team to compete in the Thunderpick World Championship.

Brazilian CS2 team Legacy announced on Wednesday that André Piovezan (ID: arT) is set to return to the starting lineup. He was hospitalized in late September with meningitis but has since fully recovered.

In a statement, Legacy wrote, "arT has been discharged and returned home due to a good response to treatment."

"We are also pleased to confirm that arT will be with the team at the upcoming Thunderpick World Championship."

"Thank you to all the friends who sent messages, expressed their concern, and cheered him on during this time. Your support means a lot to him, his family, and the entire team."

“We are delighted to see him recover and look forward to his return to the field.”

The 30-year-old arT is a team leader who has played for several top CS teams throughout his career, including Hardknocks, KaBuM! IDM, IDM, En9my, INTZ, FURIA, and Fluxo. His most notable moments were undoubtedly winning the 2020 DreamHack Spring Masters North America, ESL Season 12 North America, 2020 IEM New York North America, and the 2023 Elisa Masters with FURIA.

In February of this year, arT officially replaced Lucas Menegini (ID: lux) as the in-game leader for Legacy. To date, he has played 140 maps and participated in 2999 rounds for Legacy, with an average personal rating of 0.95, and led the team to victory in the 2026 CS Asia Invitational and FISSURE Season 3.

However, arT was diagnosed with meningitis a few days before the start of EPL S24. Legacy had to use Pedro Rocha (ID: bobz) as a substitute, and they were eventually eliminated in the group stage.

With arT's return, Legacy's current roster is as follows:

Rifleman/Sniper: Bruno Reberato (ID: latto)

Rifleman/Sniper: Eduardo Walker (ID: dumau)

Rifleman: Vinicius Pereira (ID: n1ssim)

Commander: Andrei Piovezan (ID: arT)

Sniper: Santino Rigal (ID: try)

Coach: Alan Riveros (ID: adr)
