Araujo: I do nothing to respond to other people's criticisms.

In an interview, Uruguayan defender Araujo discussed his adaptation to Liverpool and emphasized that he does nothing to respond to others' doubts.

The 27-year-old Araujo previously played for La Liga giants Barcelona, winning three La Liga titles and two Copa del Rey titles, among other major accolades. In August of this year, Araujo was loaned to Liverpool.

In addition, Araujo has played 5 games for Andoni Iraola's team since the start of the 2026/27 Premier League season, and also started in the first round of the new season's Champions League.

Araujo shared, “I’m very happy and I’ve adapted very well here. From the first day I arrived, everyone made me feel very comfortable. My teammates, the coaching staff, and of course the fans, they made me feel at home from the very beginning. This is very important; it gives players more confidence on the pitch and helps them perform at their best and give their all.”

“I am very satisfied with my current state. I will just continue to train hard as before, and I hope we can have a great season. I don’t feel like I have anything to prove, because I do nothing to respond to other people’s doubts or to prove anything to anyone.”

Araujo said, "I know my value, I know what I have, and I know what I can do as a player. I have full confidence in this, and I simply enjoy playing football."

In addition, with the international break temporarily over, the Premier League season will enter its sixth round of matches, with Liverpool hosting Manchester City at Anfield Stadium.

Araujo added, "Now I finally have the consistent playing time I've always wanted, and I know exactly what level I can perform at when I can keep playing and build confidence."

"This is exactly what I'm working on now. I enjoy the game and I enjoy doing what I love most, and my efforts are gradually paying off. I've always been very hardworking, and my efforts will eventually be reflected in my performance on the court."
