Manchester City have officially announced the signing of Leicester City's rising star Jeremy Munga on a five-year contract.

Manchester City officially announced on Saturday that they have signed England winger Jeremy Munga from Leicester City. The two sides formally agreed to a five-year contract the day after Munga turned 17, valid until June 30, 2031.

According to TA chief reporter David Ornstein, the transfer fee for Munga is £10 million plus £2.5 million in add-ons. Furthermore, Manchester City will retain a substantial secondary transfer fee from this deal.

Monga was born on July 10, 2009, in Coventry and has Zambian ancestry. He joined Leicester City's youth academy at the age of 8 and made his professional debut for the first team in the Premier League on April 7, 2025, at the age of 15 years and 271 days.

To date, Monga has made 37 appearances for Leicester City, contributing one goal and two assists. His potential attracted interest from several Premier League powerhouses, including Arsenal and Brentford, but Manchester City ultimately prevailed by leveraging their connection with former Leicester City manager Enzo Maresca.

Regarding the signing, Manchester City's sporting director Hugo Viana commented: "Jeremy is a promising player who has already made great strides early in his career."
