The two sides reached a four- year, $ 9.3 million rookie contract, with the first three years fully guaranteed and the fourth year a team option.
The 20 -year -old Evans played for Duke University last season and was named to the ACC All-Third Team. In 38 games, he averaged 15 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.3 assists, shooting 36.1% from three-point range. He made a total of 101 three-pointers that season, ranking third in the ACC .
The 2.01 - meter - tall Evans was previously traded from the Brooklyn Nets to the Minnesota Timberwolves in a four-team trade involving three-time All-Star forward Julius Randle . With the trade now officially completed, the Timberwolves have been able to sign the second-round pick.
