League of Legends: G2 benched head coach Dylan Falco, positional coach Perkz to replace him..

German e-sports powerhouse G2 announced on Sunday via their official Twitter account that they have decided to bench Dylan Falco, the head coach of their League of Legends team.

While the exact reason for Falco's departure wasn't stated, sources generally believe the decision is closely related to G2's recent elimination from the MSI International tournament. However, some French sources suggest the decision stems from disagreements over coaching philosophy.

G2 previously lost to Mexican powerhouse LYON in the lower bracket third round of the MSI.

The latter ultimately finished third in the semifinals, losing to eventual winners Hanhwa Life Esports (HLE).

G2 also announced that following Dylan Falco's departure, positional coach Perkz will immediately replace him as the team's new head coach.

This revamped roster will make its debut during the Esports World Cup.

It's worth mentioning that Dylan Falco's departure also marks the end of his three-year tenure as G2's coach.

Perkz's intimate knowledge of the team is nothing new for G2.

Back when the team was still an LCS EU team, this then-rookie mid-laner made a name for himself, leading G2 to a championship in his debut season.

Later, he led the team to numerous other illustrious achievements, solidifying his image as one of Europe's top League of Legends players.
