Multiple British media outlets have confirmed that England manager Thomas Tuchel is not currently in danger of being sacked.

The 52-year-old Tuchel has led Borussia Dortmund, Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea, and Bayern Munich to one German Cup title, two Ligue 1 titles, one French Cup title, one French League Cup title, two French Super Cup titles, one Champions League title, one Club World Cup title, one UEFA Super Cup title, and one Bundesliga title. He is considered one of the most accomplished young German players. Since taking over from Gareth Southgate in January 2025, he has achieved a record of 32 wins, 16 draws, 2 draws, and 3 losses with the Three Lions, and led the team to the semi-finals of the 2026 USA-Mexico World Cup.

On July 15th local time, England and Argentina clashed for a place in the World Cup final. Although Anthony Gordon opened the scoring for the Three Lions in the second half, Argentina came from behind to win 2-1 after Messi provided assists for Enzo Fernandez and Lautaro Martinez.
