Liverpool manager Iraola praises new signing Muñoz for his ambition

Liverpool FC manager Andoni Iraola recently gave an interview to the club's official website, praising Spanish star striker Victor Muñoz, whom the team signed earlier this summer.

This 23-year-old versatile striker had a breakout season with Osasuna in 2025-26 before joining Liverpool. He is currently with the Spanish national team at the World Cup and will face off against his teammate McAllister's Argentina in the upcoming Sunday final.

In an interview, Iraola excitedly stated regarding the signing: "In any case, we will have a World Cup winner in our squad! Although we don't know yet whether McAllister or Victor will win, one of them will lift the trophy."

Speaking about Muñoz's form and mentality, Iraola expressed high hopes for his future with Liverpool. He added in the interview, "I think the club signed Victor at a very perfect time."

"He is now very hungry for victory and full of ambition. What is commendable is that he remains clear-headed and humble, knowing that he must be fully prepared to meet the challenge of the Premier League."
