With his dual resistance attributes, ability to initiate team fights, and high tankiness, Niu Mo should have been an advantage. However, with the accelerated pace of the current version, backline burst damage builds, and frequent support crowd control, Niu Mo's mindless tanking has become a burden to others. His playability is concentrated on his first skill; if he misses, he gets focused down. How ironic, right?
After being neglected for so long, it's time to give him a boost. The adjusted Bull Demon has transformed into a powerful tank. Instead of focusing on defense, the developers decided to nerf his dual resistances by 10 to 20 points in both the early and late game. This might sound like kicking someone when they're down, but the truth is that when his passive isn't triggered, a large black circle will appear around him, ensuring unobstructed vision and allowing for more accurate control and prediction. This adjustment is actually quite insignificant; the real qualitative change lies in his core first skill.
A powerful swing of the axe unleashes three debuffs in a spinning motion.
The current version of Niu Mo throws his axe. If it hits a target, it will cause continuous damage. Don't worry, he's not like Ma Chao who needs to pick up his spear. The weapon will automatically fly back after 2.5 seconds. You can think of it as a boomerang, hitting people back and forth, causing a small knockback effect. It's not a major control skill, but at least one sweeping attack will reduce physical defense, which fits his character perfectly. Furthermore, after the axe lands on the ground, it will activate a second function: slowing down enemies. Stepping on the area around the axe will create a pressure circle and deal damage, basically requiring you to circle around and avoid it. In a way, it acts as an obstacle, forcibly restricting movement.
Having read this far, it's clear the developers have transferred the passive dual resistance bonus into skill damage and armor penetration. The axe wielding is incredibly fun, at the cost of the second skill's slow effect, which is still acceptable. The ultimate's crowd control is retained. Overall, the future Niu Mo will be significantly more playable. His first skill has a short cooldown and can be used frequently. As a tank, his skill mechanics have finally caught up with support champions. He still possesses kiting ability even when behind, and can deal high damage when paired with a marksman. We eagerly await to see how the stats perform.
The item build focuses on adding new poke options. Frost Impact is essential, freezing the target after using the ultimate for double control. For support items, consider Guardian or Xing Zhao. Change the boots to Swift Boots to improve support efficiency. Roaming and team fighting, protecting the marksman, and fulfilling the support role is the simplest thing ever.
