Former EG champion midlaner SumaiL hinted at possible retirement after TI 2026.

SumaiL, a star player for the Nigma Galaxy team, recently hinted that the 2026 International (TI 2026) may be his last time participating in Dota 2.

After the team secured the final ticket to TI 2026, SumaiL wrote on social media: "We made it to TI, probably for the last time. Thank you for your support. See you in China." This statement sparked speculation that he would retire after this tournament.

Despite being only 27 years old, SumaiL has been a professional player for over a decade. He joined Evil Geniuses (EG) at the age of 15 and helped the team win the 2015 Asia Invitational, becoming the youngest champion in Valve's official tournament history.

Subsequently, at the age of 16, SumaiL led EG to win the TI5 championship, and still holds the record for the most kills in a single TI match with 31. Throughout his career, he has won 8 top-tier tournament championships, two TI third-place finishes, and reached the top three in 9 Majors.

For the past three years, SumaiL has played for Nigma Galaxy, helping the team achieve its first-ever back-to-back TI qualification. At TI 2025, they exceeded expectations by finishing in the top six. If TI 2026 truly marks his final appearance, this legendary player will have cemented his TI record with seven appearances.
