Nadim Amiri: We must continue this momentum and approach the upcoming matches with the mindset of a final.

Germany defeated Ivory Coast 2-1 in their second group stage match of the World Cup, securing first place in their group and advancing to the round of 32. After the match, Nadim Amiri gave an interview, reflecting on his World Cup debut, his assists, his relationship with head coach Julian Nagelsmann, and discussing the team's overall situation.  

When discussing Nico Schlotterbeck's injury, Nadim Amiri said, "It's a heavy blow to the whole team, but it also makes us more determined to keep going for him. He's going through a very difficult period right now, and we have to support him while also giving him enough time and space to process everything."  

"The support from the fans is incredible. I never imagined so many people would travel all the way to Canada to cheer us on. This game is very special for me. Of the 25 family members here, 20 are watching a game for the first time. Making my World Cup debut, providing an assist, and experiencing a game like this makes this day perfect."  

Speaking about his relationship with head coach Julian Nagelsmann, Nadim Amiri said, "When a coach has coached you during your youth, the relationship is very special. We won the U19 championship together at Hoffenheim, and then went through the relegation battle and successfully qualified for the Champions League together. We went through many important moments together, which made our relationship very close. Even after we stopped coaching each other, we stayed in touch. I admire him very much and am very grateful to him."

The coach also knows I can adapt to the pace of the game at any time, and the game against Ivory Coast proved that; it was a very memorable moment.”
