Paris FC signed two defenders, Mbemba and Coppola, both joining the team.

Paris FC released a statement on Thursday confirming the signings of two defenders. The two are 18-year-old French left-back Emmanuel Mbemba and 22-year-old Italian center-back Diego Coppola.

Emmanuel Mbemba

Mbemba initially trained at Nanguis and Mellen before officially joining the Paris Saint-Germain youth academy in July 2023. He gradually distinguished himself while playing for PSG's U19 team, winning two French U19 league titles and one French Youth Cup.

According to the official statement, Mbemba joined the team as a free agent. The two sides signed a four-year contract, valid until June 30, 2030.

Mbemba had come very close to joining Arsenal, but ultimately chose to play for Paris FC. As a result, Paris FC sporting director Marco Nepe was incredibly excited after the signing, saying, "We warmly welcome Emmanuel to Paris FC. We are very pleased that he chose our project."

“Emanuel is a gifted left-footed defender in modern football. He has been selected for the French youth national team multiple times. His versatility, playing style, passion and willpower have impressed us. We will do everything we can to support him and give him the opportunity to continue to grow in the first team. We wish him all the best in his new journey.”

Diego Coppola

Paris FC's other signing is Coppola from Brighton. According to an official statement, the two sides have signed a five-year contract.

Other reports suggest that Coppola's transfer fee was approximately €18 million.

Coppola came through Verona's youth academy and made his professional debut on December 15, 2021, in the second round of the Italian Cup. He then played for Verona for three and a half seasons before transferring to Brighton in July 2025 for €11 million.

Due to limited playing time, Coppola joined Paris FC on loan from Brighton in January of this year. To date, he has made 14 appearances for Paris FC, providing 2 assists.

Regarding the permanent transfer, Paris FC sporting director Marco Nepe commented: "We are delighted to see Diego Coppola return after his first stint with the club last season. We are incredibly proud that Diego has officially become a member of Paris FC through this transfer."

“Diego has fully demonstrated his ability and the immense contribution he can make to the team in recent months. His dedication, outstanding professionalism, and ability to integrate into the locker room are impressive and fully reflect his personal qualities. Few players possess both excellent player qualities and personal character as well as he does. Diego’s return to Paris FC is excellent news for us.”
