Merjim Vojvoda has officially joined Udinese, signing a contract with the club until 2028.

Udinese have officially announced the signing of Kosovo international Merjidim Vojvoda. The winger transferred from Como and signed a contract valid until June 30, 2028, with an option to extend for another year. Vojvoda's arrival will further strengthen Udinese's overall competitiveness on the flanks.  

The 31-year-old Merjim Wojvoda is a versatile winger who can play as a left or right full-back in a four-man defense or as a wing-back in a five-man defense. He possesses solid individual technique, excellent dribbling ability, and active participation in both attack and defense. With his rich experience and consistent performance, he has become a reliable winger.  

Meljim Vojvoda was born on February 1, 1995, in Kosovo. His professional career began with the Dutch club Maastricht, before moving to the Belgian league, where he played for Standard Liège, Sint-Truiden, and Mouscron. During his time at Mouscron, he made 103 appearances in three seasons, scoring 2 goals. His consistent and excellent performances led him to rejoin Standard Liège, where he participated in the Europa League.  

In the summer of 2020, Meljim Vojvoda began his Serie A career, officially joining Torino and quickly establishing himself as a key member of the team. During his four and a half seasons with Torino, he made 135 appearances in official matches, contributing 3 goals. In January 2025, the Kosovo international transferred to Como. Under Cesc Fabregas's management, he not only continued to play as a full-back but also frequently filled in as a winger, showcasing his well-rounded technical skills and excellent tactical adaptability.  

In his first half-season after joining Como, Meljim Vojvoda scored one goal in 11 league appearances. Entering the 2025/26 season, he continued his consistent performance, netting two goals in 30 Serie A matches, helping Como secure a historic Champions League qualification. He also helped the team reach the Coppa Italia semi-finals, making four appearances and contributing significantly to the team's success.  

At the national team level, Merjim Vojvoda has been a key pillar of the Kosovo national team, captaining them on numerous occasions. To date, he has made 74 appearances for Kosovo, holding the club's all-time appearance record, and has scored 3 goals. Furthermore, prior to his senior national team career, he also made 12 appearances for the Albanian U21 national team.  

With the official signing of Merjim Vojvoda, Udinese has further strengthened its flanks. This experienced Kosovo international possesses both consistent performance and versatility, and is expected to provide more support on both ends of the pitch, helping Udinese improve its overall competitiveness in Serie A and other competitions in the new season.
