Premier League club Chelsea are currently actively working to facilitate the departure of their young winger Alejandro Ganacho.
According to sources, Chelsea have set a price tag of €50 million (approximately US$57 million) for the 22-year-old Argentine winger after he failed to report to the club and participate in pre-season training within the stipulated time.
Garnacho joined Chelsea from Manchester United last season for £40 million. In the past season, he made 22 starts for Chelsea, contributing 8 goals and 4 assists.
However, in order to secure a more stable starting position and first-team playing time, the young player strongly expressed his desire to leave the team this summer.
Currently, both the player himself and Chelsea's management consider a permanent transfer their top priority. Garnacho is no longer considering regular training under new manager Xabi Alonso, and both sides are focusing on evaluating all possible next options.
Based on his past potential on the field, Ganacho has attracted widespread attention from clubs in the English Premier League, Serie A, and the Saudi professional league.
Sources familiar with the matter said that negotiations between the buyer and seller are progressing positively, and the transfer is very likely to be finalized within the next two weeks.
Chelsea have been very active in the transfer market this summer. Before dealing with the Ganacho situation, Chelsea had already completed several player sales.
Among them, midfielder Andre Santos joined Manchester United at Old Trafford for a total fee of up to £50 million, while young player Tyreke George joined Everton for £24 million.
