Walter Berg: Everyone is ready and eagerly anticipating the start of the new season.

Pre-season preparations have officially begun, with Hoffenheim players gradually returning to the training ground to prepare for the upcoming season. In an interview, midfielder Wouter Berg shared his thoughts on the start of pre-season training, the addition of new signings, and his personal goals.  

In an interview, Wouter Berg said, "I had a very enjoyable holiday. I spent a lot of time with my family and friends and fully enjoyed the break. However, I am also very happy to be back with the team. Hoffenheim is like a big family. After training together for two days, it felt like we were back to last season's form. Everyone still jokes around with each other, and the training atmosphere is very relaxed and enjoyable. Everyone is eager to see the new season start as soon as possible."  

"Having two new players in the team who can speak Dutch is definitely a help to me and makes it easier for me to adapt. I'm also trying my best to help them integrate into the team and get familiar with the environment here as soon as possible. I didn't know much about them before, but judging from their performance in training, they are both excellent players and made a very good first impression on me."  

“We hope to have a high-quality preseason and show good form during training camp. Compared to last season, the core lineup of the team has not changed much, which allows us to get into the rhythm of the game more quickly. However, the average age of the team has decreased, and we have a younger squad. Going forward, we hope to continue to show the football style that belongs to Hoffenheim and give our all to achieve it.”  

“I’m happy with my first season here. I adapted to the team quickly and scored some goals. In the new season, I hope to continue this performance and further improve myself. In addition to my contributions on the field, I also hope to set an example off the field, take on more responsibility, and help the team achieve better results.”
