Jaden Joseph: Although the training every day is tough, I feel like I'm in very good physical condition.

Leicester City's young defender Jaden Joseph recently spoke about the team's current preseason preparations and shared his expectations for the new season. The 20-year-old previously spent time on loan at Tranmere Rovers, gaining valuable experience in first-team matches. Before the start of the new season, Joseph has moved from the development team to a higher level and hopes to seize the opportunity to return to Leicester City and showcase his abilities in the senior squad.  

With the new season fast approaching, Leicester City are actively engaged in preseason preparations, improving their competitive form through training to prepare for the upcoming high-intensity matches. The team will then travel to Spain for a training camp and will play friendly matches against Cádiz and Malaga.  

After finishing a high-intensity training session at the West Greif training facility last week, Jaden Joseph shared his feelings, saying, "I really enjoyed the training process so far. Although the training was intense, requiring a lot of running and continuous effort, it was all worth it. I feel great physically, and I believe my teammates are in good shape too."  

“Although the training is very tough right now, I believe that these efforts will pay off in the future. This is one of the most challenging preseason preparations I have ever experienced. Moving from the U21 team to a higher level has brought about a lot of changes. You not only need to adapt to a more intense training environment, but also seize the opportunity to prove yourself to the coaching staff, so you have to put in more effort.”  

New manager Russell Martin officially took over Leicester City last month and has begun instilling his tactical philosophy into the team. Jaden Joseph stated that the new manager's training methods have brought a different experience and made the team feel the changes. He believes that as long as he meets the standards set by the coaching staff, he will have the opportunity to demonstrate his abilities in matches.  

He said, "I think his football philosophy is very much in line with my characteristics. Training under his guidance is a very enjoyable experience, and I also really appreciate his style of play. He is undoubtedly a coach with a great sense of humor. He has placed a lot of trust in me, and his communication style with the players makes the whole team more confident. I think he has truly created an environment where we can perform to our full potential and showcase ourselves."  

Jaden Joseph isn't the only young player at Leicester City eager to make a breakthrough in the new season. Several academy graduates have been given opportunities to showcase their talents in preseason. Notably, many of these players played together in the U18 or U21 stages and are now striving to make their way into the first team and establish themselves in the senior squad.  

For young players, transitioning from the youth team to the senior team environment usually means greater challenges and pressure. However, teammates who have grown up together can provide a sense of familiarity, and experienced players in the team create a good atmosphere, which allows them to adapt more smoothly.  

Jaden Joseph, speaking about the club's youth academy, said: "I think Leicester City's development model is very successful. Many players have grown from the academy stage to become first-team members, which is the best proof. At the same time, there are many young players approaching the senior stage. Being able to continue alongside teammates who have grown up with you makes it easier to integrate into the environment. Having familiar people around makes you more relaxed and allows you to feel a very positive team atmosphere."  

"The team has a very harmonious relationship, and the experienced players have always given us support and guidance. The whole team is very united, and they are helping the young players grow in their own way, and we will also try to learn from them. This is a rare platform for young players, where we can prove ourselves through our performance and strive to earn a place in the team. I believe that many young players, including myself, have the ability to seize the opportunity and make progress."
