Mozi's skin usage ranking in the Chinese server: The highly praised Golden Scorpio skin is considered merely a decorative piece. (Part 3)

No one mentioned it; it was unremarkable, yet it was a hidden gem. Mozi's skin, the most used in the Chinese server, was surprisingly the unassuming Metal Storm. It's easy to imagine that whenever skin selection is discussed, it's as if there's a formula for choosing the best one. The champion on the list is unexpected. Multiple aspects need to be evaluated, such as durability, the depth of special effects, and the feel. Golden Scorpio is indeed stunning at first glance, with its golden armor and peak appearance. Unfortunately, the skill animations are flashy. It's not that it's hard to get used to, but after using it for a while, its drawbacks begin to show. So, I switched to the second option, Dragon Knight.

Metal Storm

Dragon Knight, with its heavy impact and responsive cannon fire, offers an excellent combat experience. A classic epic skin, it's a top-tier option even for free-to-play players. Although there are no adjustments to its animations, it's a free item costing 2888 points, making it incredibly appealing. However, after trying it out, fate intervened, and I eventually returned to Metal Storm, only to find it severely underrated. With only 88 fragments, its availability is extremely high, and its image is everywhere. While its appearance is similar to a companion skin, its actual attacks are crisp and clean. The second skill's projectiles have a fine trajectory, and the electrical leakage from the craters is barely noticeable. A moment of carelessness can lead to a surprise attack, like being electrocuted while passing by with low health, resulting in a failed escape. This reveals that the Chinese server prefers skins with high concealment, which explains why they look down on expensive, flashy but impractical items.

The in-game model lacks particularly sharp and solid lines, making it extremely difficult to identify. When near a wall or in the grass, it's hard to spot its position. If you're not careful, a cannon shot will come from afar, stunning you on the spot. It's precisely because of this solidity and simplicity that, when you're aiming for high scores, you won't feel the visual fatigue of the Golden Scorpio or the clumsiness of the Dragon Knight. In actual combat, compared to other models, the cannonballs are hard to defend against. If you have to make a trade-off based on your needs, the Chinese server will definitely prioritize feel, smooth operation, and foolproof performance. All the special effects and price are just a lie.

Everyone has different aesthetic tastes and different goals when playing games. Wearing your favorite skin can improve your gaming mindset and, theoretically, help you in combat. The special effects are attractive, and you'll have more fun. There's no need to follow trends and force yourself to wear basic skins. Once you learn to master the details, you'll appreciate the difference in feel.
