Idrissa Gueye left Everton this summer and will join a newly promoted Saudi Arabian Premier League side.

Everton have released an official statement confirming that Senegalese midfielder Idrissa Gueye has left the club after his contract expired. Following several weeks of communication, the two sides have officially parted ways.

According to multiple sources, Guy's next destination will be Saudi Arabian Premier League newcomer Diriyeh. The two sides expect to sign a contract until June 30, 2027, with an option for a one-year extension.

The 36-year-old Guy grew up in the Warriors' youth academy and played for Lille, Aston Villa, Everton, and Paris Saint-Germain during his professional career. He won numerous honors during his time in Ligue 1, including three Ligue 1 titles, three French Cup titles, one French League Cup title, and one French Super Cup title.

In September 2022, Guy returned to Everton for a transfer fee of 4 million euros. He played for Everton for seven seasons, making 236 appearances, scoring 10 goals and providing 11 assists.

Regarding the separation, Everton manager David Moyes issued a statement saying: "During his two stints at Everton, Guy demonstrated an exceptional level of dedication, professionalism, and impact on the pitch. The entire club is deeply grateful for this."

"His leadership both inside and outside the locker room was crucial, especially in our last season before leaving Goodison Park. His contributions to the club over the years have been exemplary."
