Gentle Mates coach deLonge has confirmed his departure after his contract expires and is looking for new challenges.

Eloy Suarez (ID: deLonge) officially announced on the X platform on Wednesday that his contract with Gentle Mates has expired.

Since being relegated to the bench by Gentle Mates in April, deLonge has been unemployed. With the two sides parting ways, his nearly one-year coaching stint at Gentle Mates has come to an end.

In a statement, deLonge clearly stated: "As of today, my contract with Gentle Mates has officially ended. I am now looking for new coaching challenges."

"I am ready to help any team reach its full potential through a well-developed system, meticulous preparation, and continuous improvement. I believe I can bring value to the team and have a positive impact."

The 31-year-old deLonge has been deeply involved in the CS industry for many years, having coached several CS teams including Alientech, MRDS.B, OFFSET, Iberia, GTZ Bulls, Gravity 0, and Nexus. He began coaching Gentle Mates' predecessor, KOI, in January 2024, and the team later continued to compete under the name Iberian Soul.

In August 2025, deLonge, along with the entire Iberian Soul team, was officially acquired by Gentle Mates. He later led the team in 144 maps, achieving a record of 79 wins and 65 losses.

With deLonge's departure, Gentle Mates' current roster is tentatively set as follows:

Assaultman: Alejandro Fernandez (ID: mopoz)

Breakthrough player: David Granado (ID: dav1g)

Free agent: Solsona Sommer (ID: sausol)
