Mohamed Salah joins Turkish Super League powerhouse Trabzonspor on a free transfer.

Egyptian star Mohamed Salah has officially begun a new chapter in his professional career. Turkish club Trabzonspor has announced that they have signed the 34-year-old former Liverpool striker to a two-year contract.

It has been revealed that Salah's annual salary in the Turkish Super League will reach 17 million euros (approximately 14.5 million pounds), and he will also enjoy a 20% commission on sales of his personal merchandise and a season performance bonus.

During his nine years at Liverpool, Salah made 442 appearances and scored 257 goals, winning two Premier League titles and a Champions League trophy. His free transfer to Trabzonspor not only caused a sensation in Turkish football, but also saw thousands of fans flood the stadium waving flags and lighting torches to welcome the superstar.
