Cristiano Ronaldo suddenly announces his withdrawal from the Portuguese national team training camp.

Five-time Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo (CR7) has officially announced his departure from the Portuguese national team training camp, casting a shadow over the team's participation in the UEFA Nations League.

Cristiano Ronaldo stated on social media that he made the decision to leave the team after discussions with the president of the Portuguese Football Federation, and promised to explain the truth behind his departure to all the Portuguese people at the appropriate time. He also wished his teammates good luck in their upcoming matches.

The controversy stemmed from Portugal's 2-1 victory over Norway on Sunday. Cristiano Ronaldo, who did not come on as a substitute, went straight to the locker room after the final whistle without greeting the fans, sparking speculation about a rift between him and new manager Jorge Jesus. Subsequent media reports claimed that Ronaldo refused to participate in training.

Despite Jesus's efforts to downplay the conflict at the pre-match press conference against Denmark, claiming there was no clash between the two sides, explaining that Ronaldo's absence was purely a tactical decision, and stating that the 41-year-old veteran's absence from training was simply for flexibility and strength recovery, he firmly stated, "I need him, he'll play; I don't need him, he won't," and confirmed that the forward line would continue to heavily rely on Gonzalo Ramos.

Shortly after the press conference, Portuguese media captured images of Cristiano Ronaldo leaving the stadium with staff. The Portuguese Football Federation subsequently released an official statement confirming Ronaldo's departure and emphasizing that the remaining 24 players in training would continue to prepare for the matches against Denmark and Norway as planned.

Cristiano Ronaldo, who postponed his retirement from the national team in pursuit of his 1000th career goal, is now facing serious challenges in his international career.
