Hungary secured a late 1-2 away win over Ukraine on matchday 4 of the UEFA Nations League League B Group Stage match at the Anton Malatinský Stadium.

In the first half, Ocheretko saw his long-range effort strike the crossbar. In the second half, Tóth found the net by volleying the ball into the net, while Yaremchuk scored with a header. At a crucial moment, Csinger scored with a half-volley. Ultimately, Hungary won 2-1. Following this round of matches, Hungary temporarily sits second in the group with 7 points, while Ukraine is third with 4 points.

First Half

In the 11th minute, Ihor Krasnopir crossed into the box from the left wing. His pass was initially headed and clared off not far away by Dominik Szoboszlai. Oleh Ocheretko quickly followed up and upon picking up the loose ball, took a left-footed long shot from outside the penalty area, but his shot unfortunately struck the crossbar and bounced away, Ukraine came agonizingly close to breaking the deadlock!

8 minutes later, Yehor Nazaryna passes horizontally from the right side of the box. Upon receiving the pass, Matviy Ponomarenko volleyed with his right foot from the center of the box, but his shot went just slightly wide of the bottom left corner of the post.

The first half ended with the scoreline still 0-0 as the Ukraine and Hungary headed into the break.

Second Half

Both teams switched sides as the match continued. In the 52nd minute, Milán Vitális played a through-ball from the attacking third. After successfully beating the offside trap, Milán Tóth got the ball and took a few steps before volleying the ball into the top right corner of the net fro, the left side of the box against the outrushing Anatoliy Trubin, giving Hungary a 1-0 lead! 

In the 77th minute, Willi Orbán delivered a long ball from his own back half. After successfully beating the offside trap, Gábor Jurek got the ball, dribbled and cuts inside before taking a left-footed long shot from outside the penalty area, but his shot was saved by Trubin.

6 minutes later, Ukraine earned a deadly corner kick opportunity. Oleksandr Pikhalyonok took the corner by crossing it into the box, where Roman Yaremchuk scored with a header from point-blank range in the box, equalizing the match at 1–1! This marked the Olympiacos forward's 19th goal for the national team across all competitions!

In the 85th minute, Rajmund Tóth crossed into the box from the right wing. Márk Csinger quickly followed up and upon receiving the pass, half-volleyed the ball into the high center of the net with his left foot, securing a 2–1 victory for Hungary!

4 minutes later, Taras Mykhavko made a straight pass ball from the left wing. Maksym Khlan quickly followed up, got the ball, dribbled and cuts into the left side of the box before volleying with his right foot, but his shot was saved by Balázs Tóth.

When the final whistle is blown, Hungary secured a late 2–1 away win over Ukraine.
