Getafe permanently bought out ownership of on-loan River Plate defender Sebastián Boselli..

Getafe announced on their official website on Monday that they have officially bought out the ownership of on-loan River Plate Uruguay U23s international defender Sebastián Boselli.

According to Getafe's official statement, Boselli has signed on a long-term four-year deal with the club which runs until the summer of 2030. In accordance with La Liga regulations, Boselli's contract includes a release clause set at €76 million.

About Sebastián Boselli

Boselli, who is only still 22 years old, was born on December 4, 2003, in Montevideo, Uruguay. He is 1.83 meters tall and primarily plays as a center-back, but can also play right-back. He holds dual Uruguayan and Italian citizenship.

Boselli played for the youth academy of non-league club Rincón as a child before joining Defensor Sporting's youth academy in 2018.  In September 2022, he completed his Defensor Sporting first-team debut in a Uruguayan Cup match, later winning the cup with the team.

The following August, Boselli joined River Plate for €3 million.

During his time at River Plate, Boselli won the Argentine Super Cup with the Argentine Primera División giants.

In August 2024, Boselli was loaned-out to Estudiantes de La Plata. During his time there, he won the Argentine Super Cup with the team.

In January 2026, Boselli joined Getafe on-loan with an option to buy.

Last season, Boselli made 11 appearances for the La Liga club in all competitions, without scoring or assisting.
