On June 2, the tournament organizer BLAST announced that the Eastern European Dota 2 team PARIVISION would be unable to participate in the BLAST Slam VII playoffs in Copenhagen, Denmark, due to "complex travel permit issues," namely, the failure to obtain visas in a timely manner.
As the second-place team in their group, PARIVISION had already secured a direct qualification for the upper bracket semifinals. Their withdrawal disrupted the original tournament progression. The organizers subsequently announced that their spot in the upper bracket semifinals would be taken by BetBoom Team, the third-place team in their group.
Meanwhile, Team Liquid, the Western European team that was unfortunately eliminated in the second round of the LCQ, has been invited to fly to Copenhagen to fill the vacancy in the competition.
According to BLAST, Team Liquid defeated Team Spirit with a higher Neustadtl score, securing the spot in the playoffs, one of the two teams that were eliminated in the second round of the playoffs.
The BLAST Slam VII offline playoffs will resume on June 4th, with the remaining 6 teams out of the 12 participating teams competing for a total prize pool of $1 million, with the champion taking home $400,000.
As the last Tier 1 tournament before the 2025-2026 season's two major events, the Esports World Cup in July and The International (TI10) in August, the changes in the matchups for this tournament will directly affect the preparation status of each team before the crucial matches.
