Valencia CF has confirmed that it has exercised the contract extension option for Storz Dimitrovski. Under the agreement, the North Macedonian goalkeeper's contract will be extended for two years, until June 2028.
Since joining Valencia in 2024, Storz Dimitrovski has quickly become a key member of the team. To date, the North Macedonian goalkeeper has made 33 appearances in La Liga and the Copa del Rey. His extensive experience and consistent goalkeeping have been crucial in the team's resurgence in the second half of the season. Last season, he kept five clean sheets and helped Valencia defeat Getafe, Levante, Osasuna, Sevilla, and Athletic Bilbao.
This contract extension signifies that Valencia has clarified its plans for Dimitrovski for the next few years. After the season ended, the 32-year-old goalkeeper represented North Macedonia in friendly matches against Bosnia and Herzegovina and Turkey. Following his national team duties, he will return to his club after his vacation to begin preparations for the new season.
After renewing his contract with Valencia, Storz Dimitrovski shared his feelings. The goalkeeper said he was very happy and grateful to stay with the club, and he was also looking forward to the upcoming season.
Stojkovic said: "I am very happy and excited to announce a two-year contract extension with Valencia. I have never had any doubts about this extension; I have always wanted to stay here and have always worked towards that goal. I have had a very enjoyable time at Valencia and I strongly identify with the values and spirit that the club represents."
“I always try my best and give my all to the team. I know what Valencia represents, and I am aware of the club’s great history, passionate fans, and unique culture. When I came to Spain, I dreamed of playing for a top club, and Valencia was one of them. I am very happy to be able to stay here, and every day of training and matches, and every moment of fighting for this crest, motivates me.”
"To be honest, I was a little disappointed when the league ended because I was in great form and enjoying the game. Although the team didn't achieve its goals, we still have a new season to fight for. Going forward, we need to be in better shape and better prepared to meet the challenges and strive to achieve our goals."
"It's always been like this for goalkeepers: the more games you play and the more playing time you get, the better you feel for the game. My training partnership with Marcos and Anthony is excellent. We maintain a high standard of training and constantly push each other to be at our best when given the opportunity."
"Both physically and mentally, I feel I'm in a very ideal state. Right now, I think I'm at the peak of my career. I've never encountered this kind of training philosophy and working method before, and every training experience has further made me realize the importance of preparation. Fans often see the moment of the save, but the real foundation comes from high-quality training day after day. That's why I'm able to show my best. Of course, I still hope to continue to improve."
“My current performance is largely thanks to the goalkeeping coaching team. They have always been very demanding of us, but they have also given me tremendous help. Through working with them, I have learned a lot of things I had never encountered before. They have taught me how to optimize my positioning, how to participate in the game in a more proactive way, and we maintain the highest intensity of training every day. At the professional level, they have helped me discover the best version of myself in my career so far.”
