Counter Strike 2: G2 reportedly may be parting ways with its academy team's AWP-er, kl1m..

HLTV exclusively reported on Friday that the German Counter Strike 2 (CS2) G2 powerhouse may be parting ways with its academy team's AWP-er, kl1m.

According to the report, sources familiar with the matter told reporters that G2 is prepared to listen to offers from other clubs for kl1m after his loan spell at MIBR ends, but it is currently unknown which club is interested in signing the young player.

kl1m was loaned to MIBR in August 2025, with his loan spell ending after the Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Cologne Major. During his time there, he participated in numerous Brazilian B-tier tournaments with the team, winning several titles and achieving an average rating of 1.24.

He even ranked 5th on HLTV's list of best prospects, further solidifying his status as one of the most outstanding young players in the Counter Strike 2 (CS2) esports scene.

Despite this, insiders maintain that G2 has no intention of permanently promoting him to the first team, nor is it willing to endlessly agree to loan him to other top-tier clubs under the guise of "providing him with opportunities to gain experience and showcase his abilities." This makes kl1m's future uncertain.
