Kyle Larin has officially joined Southampton on a contract that runs until 2029.

Southampton Football Club is pleased to announce that Kyle Larin has officially completed his permanent transfer and will remain with the club. The Canadian international striker joined the team on loan from Royal Mallorca in January and quickly integrated into the squad since arriving at St. Mary's Stadium, winning over fans with his consistent performances.

Kyle Larin quickly won over St. Mary's Stadium in his first match after joining the club. Against Watford, he came on as a substitute and scored the only goal of the game with his first touch, securing three points for his team. He continued his excellent form, contributing eight goals in 16 Championship appearances, averaging a goal every 107 minutes and demonstrating highly efficient finishing ability.

Kyle Larin has not only excelled at the club level but is also a key member of the Canadian national team, having made 89 appearances. Since joining Southampton, he has also contributed in the FA Cup, scoring on his debut and helping the team reach the semi-finals. This season marks the 50th anniversary of the club's 1976 FA Cup victory, making this a special chapter in the club's history.

Kyle Larin delivered a satisfying season for Southampton, scoring nine goals in 22 appearances, demonstrating a high scoring rate despite only starting 12 times. Meanwhile, the Canadian striker will face a significant challenge at the national team level as Canada co-hosts the World Cup with the United States and Mexico, undoubtedly a crucial chapter in his career.

Southampton have reached a two-year contract agreement with Kyle Larin, with an option to extend for another year. If the option is activated, the Canadian international will have the opportunity to continue playing for the club until 2029.

Speaking about completing the permanent transfer, Kyle Larin said: "I am very happy to be back here. From the first day I arrived at Southampton, I felt the support and welcome from the coaching staff, my teammates and everyone at the club. At the same time, I had a very good start, scoring on my first touch in the first game, which undoubtedly helped me integrate into the team more quickly."

“After arriving here, I quickly integrated into the team and established a good relationship with the coaching staff. We achieved many positive results and experienced many unforgettable moments together last season, so I have always hoped to stay here.”

Speaking about Kyle Larin's official signing, Johannes Spoelstra said: "From the moment he joined the team, we saw a good fit between him and Southampton. He quickly adapted to the team's style of play and enriched Toda Ekert's tactical options in the attacking third with his own characteristics."

"Similar to Daniel Perez's situation, Kyle Larin was not obligated to make a permanent transfer under the previous loan agreement. He chose to stay while still having other options, which fully demonstrates his determination and commitment to continue helping the team achieve its goals."
