Marco Rose expressed his excitement about coaching the team after learning about the club's promising future.

Bournemouth's new manager, Marco Rose, expressed his excitement for the new challenges of the Premier League and his desire to lead the team on a landmark journey. Under Andoni Iraola's leadership, Bournemouth finished sixth in the league last season, securing European qualification for the first time in the club's 127-year history.  

Since taking over as Bournemouth manager in April, Marco Rose has been closely monitoring the team's performance in the final stages of the season. Although he has previously managed RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund, accumulating extensive experience and championship titles in European competitions, the 49-year-old German coach is still excited and looking forward to his first time managing in the Premier League.  

In an interview with The Athletic, Marco Rose said, "It's not the right attitude to think that the methods I used in Germany will work exactly the same way here. There are many differences between here and Germany, and for me, the country, culture, and language environment are all completely new experiences."  

"A positive attitude is important, but that doesn't mean you fully understand the culture, environment, and people's way of thinking here. If you want to be a qualified leader, you should first observe and listen more when you enter a new environment. It's equally important to understand the perspectives of those around you before conveying your own ideas."  

When discussing his coaching philosophy, Marco Rose specifically mentioned the importance of teamwork. He stated, "As head coach, I must be responsible for the team's performance, key decisions, and match results. But at the same time, I also believe that every professional should have their corresponding responsibilities. The team has a fitness team, a data analysis team, and multiple professional departments, and the club has made very positive progress in all areas in recent years."  

"After understanding the infrastructure here and seeing the club's huge potential for future development, I am full of confidence in coaching this team. But I came here not simply to share my ideas, but more importantly to listen to and understand the people around me."  

When discussing his approach to working with players, Marco Rose emphasized the importance of interpersonal relationships. He stated, "In my view, players are people first and foremost, and footballers second. Therefore, establishing genuine personal connections is crucial before discussing tactics and matches. Once trust and rapport are built between us, many things will naturally fall into place."  

"For me, building good relationships is always the top priority. In the process of coaching, you inevitably have to make various decisions, some of which may not be easily accepted. Therefore, it is very important to be able to clearly explain your thoughts and the basis of your decisions to the players, which is also an important quality of a good coach. Every member should feel valued. At the same time, regardless of the results, it is also very important how people look back on their experience working with you."
