Como FC has confirmed the successful contract extension of Jean Butez, extending his contract until June 2030.

Como 1907 announced a contract extension with French goalkeeper Jean Butez, extending his contract until June 2030. Since joining in the winter transfer window in 2025, he has made 63 appearances in all competitions, keeping 26 clean sheets, and played a key role in the team's tenth place finish in Serie A last season and their first-ever Champions League qualification.  

In the 2025/26 season, his consistent performance on the goal line was particularly crucial, helping the team concede only 29 goals and become the best defensive team in Serie A. At the same time, he personally completed 19 clean sheets, ranking first in the clean sheet list for goalkeepers this season.  

Speaking about the contract extension, Jean Butez said, "From day one, I felt the warmth of Como. My teammates, the club, and the fans all made me feel at home. This new contract is a testament to that trust and represents the happiness my family and I have here. I've always been eager for new challenges and believe this is just the beginning of a special journey for us, where we can take Como to even greater heights together."
