Como completes contract extension with French goalkeeper Jean Butez.

Como announced on its official website on Thursday that the club has extended the contract of its French goalkeeper Jean Butez.
According to Como's official statement, Butez has signed on a new long-term four-year deal with the club which runs until the summer of 2030.
After his contract extension procedures was finalized, Butez, who was interviewed by the Como official website again, said, "From day one, I've felt at home in Como, and I get along very well with the team, the club, and the fans. This extension reflects the club's trust in me, and my family and I are very happy to stay here."
"I always crave new challenges and firmly believe that this is just the beginning of a great chapter. Together, we will surely create even greater achievements with Como."
About Jean Butez
The 31-year-old Butez was born on June 8, 1995, in Lille, France. He is 1.89 meters tall and plays as a goalkeeper.
Butez joined Lille's youth academy at the age of 8 and began playing for their B team in 2013, but never made a first-team appearance.
In the summer of 2017, Butez joined Royal Mouscron Excel as a free agent.
During his three-year spell at Royal Mouscron Excel, Butez's outstanding performances attracted the attention of several major Belgian clubs.
In the summer of 2020, Butez moved to Royal Antwerp for €2 million.
During his four-and-a-half-year spelll at Royal Antwerp, Butez won one the Juipler Pro League title, one Belgian Cup, and one Belgian Super Cup with the club.
In January 2025, Butez joined Como for €2 million.
Since joining Como, so far, Butez has made 63 appearances for the Serie A dark horse in all competitions, conceding 55 goals and keeping 26 clean sheets, helping the club pull off a surprising Champions League qualification once.
