South Korean League of Legends esports powerhouse Dplus KIA (DK) announced on Thursday via its official X (Twitter) account that it has taken internal disciplinary action against head coach Kim Dae-ho (ID: cvMax) for his inappropriate remarks during a recent interview after the team's elimination.

According to Dplus KIA (DK)'s official statement, cvMax's use of inappropriate language during the media interview seriously undermined the club's values and negatively impacted fans. Due to the seriousness of the matter, the club decided to take internal disciplinary action against him.

cvMax has since apologized to the club and sincerely acknowledged the inappropriateness of his behavior.

To prevent similar incidents from recurring, DK will immediately conduct internal training to review, strengthen, and ensure that all players and coaches maintain the necessary professionalism when handling media interviews.

At the same time, DK will also provide regular professional training for players and coaches to remind them to avoid misunderstandings in their speech, both in professional settings and when communicating with others through personal social media accounts.

Finally, DK apologized to their fans for the incident, thanking them for their enthusiastic support and promising to continue striving to maintain a positive and professional image in the League of Legends esports scene.

cvMax made inappropriate remarks during a media interview after DK's elimination from the Road to MSI tournament against KT Rolster. 

He used the inappropriate metaphor of "foreplay" to describe the team's loss despite having a 10,000 gold lead, sparking serious controversy.

He stated, "It feels like we only did foreplay and then it just stopped."

Looking back at DK's performance in the aforementioned tournament, this LCK powerhouse's journey can be described as a "disastrous upset."

DK initially cruised to a 3-0 victory over HANJIN BRION, but after leading by two games, they were completely reversed by KT Rolster, losing the match and being eliminated, thus missing their chance to face Gen.G for honor.
