NBA legend Tracy McGrady praised Jalen Brunson for having a resemblance to Kobe Bryant.

In an interview, NBA legend Tracy McGrady said that New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson's ability to seize shooting opportunities reminded him of the late legendary Kobe Bryant.

In the 2025/26 regular season, Jalen Brunson played 74 games for the New York Knicks, averaging 26.0 points per game with a field goal percentage of 46.7% and a three-point percentage of 36.9%.

In the Finals, Jalen Brunson continued to play a key role for Mike Brown's team, contributing crucial points alongside Anunoby and Mikal Bridges in tough moments, ultimately leading them to the NBA championship.

When asked which player Jalen Brunson most resembled, NBA legend Tracy McGrady said, "We have to think of Kobe Bryant because his job in the first three quarters was to get Shaquille O'Neal involved in the offense. In the fourth quarter, that was Kobe Bryant's time, and everyone knows that."
